Visible from all across the valley looms an enormous, twin-peaked mountain. A mystical place, it seems to rise so far into the clouds that it is said to cradle the stars. This majestic, mysterious landmark houses the cave in which the pedestals of the four Great Spirits stand, and rumor has it that the Spirits themselves will appear to grant a gift to those they deem worthy…

| Central Prairie
A flat expanse of grassland and small copses of trees, the Central Prairie has the greatest diversity in prey animals, and big game is often easiest to come by here. Many wolves come here to hunt when their territory’s hunting grounds are depleted, or to hunt for larger prey. This is also the principal hunting grounds for loners and rogues who have no territory of their own to hunt in.

Once known as Mirror Lake, the water has since dried up into little more than a small pond, and the only time it fills to its original capacity is for a short time in the beginning of the year, as a result of the spring thaw. It’s dusty, cracked banks are often made use of as den sites by lone or rogue wolves.

Legend has it that the odd loner made his home within a sprawling cave system that is said to sit beneath the red-rock canyons, and that his phantom still prowls the crags after sundown. This hasn’t deterred the rogues, however, who often make their home here…

Ask any elder wolf, and they will tell you that every end marks the start of a new beginning. At the very center of the Mirror Lake sits what appears to be a tiny island shrouded in mist. This is the place where all wolves come when they leave the mortal world, and living wolves are welcome to visit using the stepping stones that sit just below the surface of the water. Be warned, however, that not all spirits are friendly, and may not take kindly to nosy sightseers disturbing their peace.

Towering peaks and jagged cliffs mark the very northwestern edges of the Corx Range. Steep inclines and slopes, eventually leading below the timberline into emerald highlands are a beautiful sight, but can be treacherous to the untrained paw—especially in winter.

A patch of forest slightly northwest of the Deep Wood territory, the timberlands is a beautiful stretch of open wood. The wolves here are wary of strangers, but not unduly so, and know the land like the back of their paw.

So named for its appearance during the late summer, the Dried Grassland is possibly the flattest stretch of land in the Valley. Tall stalks of grass and flowering plants sway for as far as the eye can see and the even, relatively level landscape makes it very difficult to plan surprise attacks.

The northeastern counterpart to the Corx Range, these small mountains are not nearly as tall or steep. Their snowy peaks rarely cause avalanches, and the sparse woods eventually give way to rolling hills.
